Getting it DONE!!

So today has been one of the most productive days I've had in a while! I was blessed with a huge burst of energy this morning and I rolled with it! My children were amazingly good ALL day they actually for the most part (they did have a few moments) let me achieve what I needed to....My husband was also home all day so they had company so that helped! I was able to clean almost every room in my house! Can I get a YAY!! That NEVER happens!! I've been so disorganized since we moved in our house this past December! I'm trying really hard to get back on track and get things together and try to find my brain!! I'm sure we all have these moments and periods of times in our lives. So I was very pleased. I managed to get all of the laundry done, folded, and put away! My husband helped out by cooking dinner for us which was awesome! Fried chicken, green beans, mashed potato's, and gravy....can you say YUM! Then I got both kids bathed and in the bed before I had to head off to work for a few hours I got off around 12:30am....So it's definitely been a long long day. A very good day though so I can't complain!

Now to change the subject. I want to talk about books! Who doesn't love a good book! I recently was given a Kindle as a mother's day gift and I'm seriously in love with it! One thing I like about it is that it recommends books that you may like to read based on things that I guess you've purchased from amazon before. Even though I read a variety of things it always recommends the teen young adult fantasy's to me. It's okay though because I've actually enjoyed some of the recommendations..So I have a few series that I've been reading and following. I hate the anticipation of when the next book will come out. Right now I'm waiting on 3 books to come out this summer from 3 different series! One being The Wolves Of Mercy Falls by Maggie Stiefvater. The first two books were very good reads! It's about werewolves and I liked it. It wasn't your average werewolf story it's very sweet and keeps you hanging on! The second series is the Celestra Series by Addison Moore. Again the first two books were great. It's about a girl that moves with her mother and stepfather to another state where she finds out who she is and what she is and of course there's a love triangle involved! The third I just stumbled upon and it was a .99 book and it was really good! It's The Forever Trilogy by Brandon Alston and Quinteria Ramey. I read the first book in a couple of days and  read the second book in one night after it released it was soo good! It's about a girl who lived her life on the run with her mother and she also finds out what she is and who her family is and there's also a love triangle, but they're not cheesy (I dont like cheesy). So these are just some ideas if you like to read I recommend these books and while I wait for the third books of these series to come out I'll be hunting down a new read to keep me occupied. But definitely look these books up on amazon if your interested and down for some good adventures!!
If you have any book recommendations for me I would love to know about them!! Thanks in advance!!

Anyways I should probably get some rest. It's back to the grind tomorrow with a new week starting! I can't wait to see what this week brings!!
 Happy Blogging and Good night!!

The beginning!!

So this is my first time EVER writing a blog! So I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. Hopefully this will be fun and entertaining for all involved. Feel free to leave comments related to my posts, they are for sure welcome! So as my first post ever I'll just tell you a little about what this blog will be about and what I wish to achieve by writing my day to day thoughts and adventures. NUMBRE UNO: I wish to have some time to myself to reflect on my daily activities and to dig a little deeper into the decisions I make in my life. Also to just down right vent about things sometimes that maybe you will relate to and laugh with me!! SECONDLY: I wish to improve my writing skills. I've always been a fairly good writer I used to write regularly (poems and such..don't worry I wont be doing that here) and I wish to get back to that girl that could dig deep down inside of her self and just reflect on life while writing it down on paper. Only this time I'll be typing. Which also brings me to getting back to my skills. Not only was I a decent writer I could type super fast!! So basically this is to help me get back to some old skills that I ENJOY!!! THIRD: I want to share my experiences on life maybe I could help you and you could help me..Such as sharing tips on how to deal with our kids when they drive us completely NUTS, or when they do something that COMPLETELY melts our hearts!! Or when our husbands become unruly to deal with lol we all know how men can be!! That's just a little of what I want to do with my blog....in a nutshell I just want to let my hair down and have some fun!

With all that nonsense out of the way let me share with you a little about myself! (that for sure might help) My name is Devan friends call me Dev for the most part...I'm 24 going on 25 going on 40 (what it feels like sometimes). I'm married and have two children who are beautiful and keep my world spinning!! I have a part time job and a full time job! I'm a full time mommy and a part time shift manager at Arby's I've been there for 8 long years. My oldest child is my daughter Cameron aka Cammy she's 3 going on 4 going on 14 lol. Then my youngest is Robert aka Robby he's 7 months old! My goal is to be a stay at home mom and put all my focus on my children! Another nifty fact about my self is I'm an independent beauty consultant for Mary Kay! I absolutely love make up and Mary Kay is awesome!! I love to read and to get lost in a good book! Everyone needs an escape from reality from time to time and a good book definitely does just that! I'll also be blogging about the books I read, but that's for another post. I can't forget about my fur babies. I have a cat, Cody and a dog, Juno! They also keep me pretty busy.I'm an optimist and try to always stay positive no matter what! I believe there's a silver lining in everything, and no matter what if you put your faith in God you can get through anything! So that's me in a nutshell for now. You'll learn more about me as time goes on and I look forward to learning more about you! I can't wait to start sharing!!!!
